How to Vibe this Fall 2022

You hear that? The sound of crunchy leaves? Can you smell the pumpkin yet? Fall is my favorite season. Fall and I go well together. Can you relate? I love just vibing during the fall season. So if you want to find new ways to relax and to enjoy the fall, I have compiled a list just for you on how to vibe this fall. So get cozy with a cup of tea, a blanket, and enjoy!

Read Every Morning

I love reading but I often get distracted by other things like work, chores, people, ya know… life. One thing that helps me ensure I get my reading time in is by waking up early and reading while I eat my breakfast. Don’t scroll on your phone. Just get up, make your favorite breakfast, brew a good cup of coffee, sit and read. It doesn’t have to be much and you don’t have to sit there for hours and hours (although, more power to you if you can). I have been enjoying reading a Psalm every morning. It gets me in the Word, reminds me of Who I am living for, and gets me reading.

If you want to leave more time for reading throughout the day, I suggest always carrying a book with you. You never know when you will be waiting an extra 10 minutes for that coffee you ordered. It beats scrolling on Facebook.

Vibe with Puzzles!

My roommates and I have been leaving a puzzle on the coffee table and we enjoy piecing it together whenever we have a few moments. Or, when we have guests over, it is nice to do something while you chat. It is a calm activity your whole household can do together. Or, if you live alone (or never see your roommates), put on some music, grab a good drink, and work on the puzzle. It makes for a nice, relaxing evening.

Stock Up on Your Favorite Fall Foods

TREAT YO SELF. PERIOD. You simply cannot vibe this fall without fall foods. Get some fun size candy to keep in a bowl. Or have a pumpkin filled with candy corn on the counter. Obviously, know your limits, but candy definitely helps me get in the spooky mood if Halloween is soon!

Do you like pumpkin? I LOVE pumpkin. It is basic because it is good. Embrace your basic sometimes. It is okay. You do you. Get that pumpkin coffee. Buy pumpkin syrup to put in your coffee. Make pumpkin cookies or pumpkin pie. Get excited! It is pumpkin season! Live it up!

Finally, it isn’t fall without a good cup of soup. Make your favorite soups and enjoy them often! You just spent your whole summer living off of sandwiches, salads, and smoothies. Bundle up in a blanket, put on Gilmore Girls, eat your soup, and finish it off with a pumpkin cookie.

Get Crafty

Time to try a new craft! Bend your brain in a new way. Try a new drawing technique, make jewelry, sew, knit a sweater, get a coloring book.

I recently took back up crocheting and started challenging myself with a new pattern. To get myself in the spooky mood for halloween, I picked a really cute skull pattern by SixelHome. (This is not an affiliate link. I just really liked their pattern and found it easy to follow.)

If you are looking for inspiration, I love to check out JENerationDIY on YouTube. She always has a ton of genuinely cute and aesthetically pleasing DIY projects to try at home. Plus she is just entertaining. Again, I have no affiliation with her. I just like her content.

It’s Fall. Get into Nature

Vibe this fall OUTSIDE! Go outside. That is it. Explore new trails. Read in a park. Hot or cold, just go outside. Soak up that last bit of sunshine before winter hits. Go outside. Just do it. No excuses. Check out my post on how to find adventure in your daily life. This is all I have to say on this subject.

Explore Local Coffee Shops

Be a tourist in your own town and check out all the different coffee shops around you. Last year, my mom and I tried a new coffee shop every week. It was a fun activity to do together and we were supporting local businesses while exploring our own city. Win win win. Maybe try their pumpkin flavors like we talked about earlier. Don’t like coffee? Try smoothies, or tea, or sandwiches, or donuts. Whatever you like! I would recommend keeping it relatively inexpensive though so that it is a sustainable activity for the season.

Count Your Blessings

You’ve heard it before. Count your blessings. Whether it means reflecting at the new coffee shop, journaling, or thinking about it while you crochet, ponder everything you have to be grateful for. Even in the hardships of life, be thankful for the silver linings that come from these things. Be thankful that God walks with us always, whether we feel His presence or not. There is no battle we haven’t gone through without Him. Praise God! Count your blessings.
